Exam guides
What each exam actually is before you start practising for it: the number of questions, the closed- and open-book split, the time allowed, who is eligible, and which edition of every code and standard is effective for your exam date. Every figure is taken from API’s own published documents, which are listed and linked at the foot of each guide, and each page carries the date we last checked them.
We do not repeat a passing score. Several prep sites quote one; API does not publish it in the documents below, so we leave it out rather than give a candidate a number to rely on.
