API 653 — Aboveground Storage Tank Inspector
I did the timed practice and most of the questions we're related to API 571, whereas 60-70% of the closed book exam will revolve around API 653/650. A suggestion would be to include a set number of questions from all the codes and standards within the Body of Knowledge. I will be going through the Full mock exam and find out if the case still remains. Other than that, it was all good in terms of the references for the correct answers and the time given per question is according to the time required to complete all 110 questions in the closed book exam.

AssetronX: Thank you - this was the most useful review we have had. You were right: we measured the closed-book pool and API 650 held only 80 questions against 757 for API 653 and 446 for API 571. We have since written 300 new API 650 questions against the 14th edition (August 2025), each one checked twice against the standard before release. They are in study mode as well as the mock papers. Your second point - a guaranteed number of questions from every publication in the Body of Knowledge - is the next change we are making to timed practice.
